Why Stake Verification Gets Rejected
Most rejections come from small, fixable problems with the photos or the details, not from anything serious. These are the most common causes:
- Blurry, dark or cropped photos. All four corners of the document must be visible and every line readable.
- Glare or reflections covering the name, number or photo.
- Expired documents. The document must be valid today.
- Name or date of birth that does not match what is on your account.
- Proof of address that is too old or does not show your full name and address. Check the age limit Stake states on its verification page.
- Screenshots, edited or scanned-from-screen images. Submit original photos or scans.
- Selfie problems: poor lighting, a face partly covered, or a document held in the wrong way.
How to Fix It, Step by Step
- Read the message from Stake. It usually says which document or step was refused.
- Take new photos in daylight on a plain, flat surface. Keep the whole document in frame.
- Make sure the name and date of birth are exactly the same as on your account.
- For proof of address, use a recent document that shows your full name and address.
- Resubmit through Stake's own verification page and wait for the review.
- If it is refused again, contact Stake support with the details, or ask us on Telegram.
What Not to Do
- Do not edit, retouch or crop documents beyond a normal photo
- Do not use another person's documents
- Do not open a second account to try again
- Do not pay anyone who promises to get you verified without documents. It is a common scam

How long should I wait before resubmitting?
Check the message Stake sent you first. If a document was refused, fix the issue and resubmit rather than waiting. If nothing was refused, allow the normal review time.
Can I use a driver's licence instead of a passport?
Accepted document types can vary by region and over time. Use one of the options shown on Stake's own verification page, and make sure it is in date.
Does opening a new account help?
No. Duplicate accounts break the terms and can get all of them restricted. Fix the rejected submission on the account you already have.
