Quick answer
When Stake KYC "does not work", it is usually one of five things: a bad photo, details that do not match your account, an expired or unsupported document, a browser or connection problem, or a review that is simply still in the queue. Match your symptom in the table below and try the fix in the right-hand column.

The General Fix Checklist

  • Read the message on the verification page and any email from support, including your spam folder.
  • Use your own, valid, in-date document. Never use someone else's.
  • Make sure the name, date of birth and country on your account match the document exactly.
  • Take clear photos: good light, flat surface, all four corners in frame, no flash glare.
  • Switch browser, turn off extensions and any VPN or proxy, and retry on a stable connection.
  • Wait for the review to complete before submitting again. Duplicate submissions can slow things down.
  • If it is still stuck, contact Stake support with a short description of the problem and a screenshot.
Tried all of this and it still fails? Tell us what the page shows and we will help you work out the next step.

What Not to Do

  • Do not use edited, borrowed or fake documents. It can lead to permanent closure and legal trouble.
  • Do not pay anyone to "fix" or "fast-track" your verification. Nobody outside Stake's own team can do that.
  • Do not upload documents anywhere except Stake's own verification page.
  • Do not look for a bought, pre-verified account. See why that fails.

FAQ

Why is my Stake verification stuck on pending?

Reviews can take longer when the queue is busy, when documents are unclear, or when something does not match. Check your email, including spam, for a request for more information, and contact support if it has been much longer than usual.

Should I submit the same document again?

Only if you were told it was rejected or the upload clearly failed. Repeated submissions of the same file rarely help. Fix the cause first: image quality, name match, validity or document type.

Can a VPN break verification?

It can interfere with uploads and with location checks. Try the upload on your normal connection and with extensions switched off. Stake's terms also restrict access from certain territories, so do not use a VPN to get around location rules.

Which document does Stake accept?

The accepted documents are listed on the verification page in your account, and they can change by country. Use the list shown there as the source of truth.

Is it normal to be asked for more documents later?

Yes. Higher limits and some withdrawals can trigger a request for additional verification. See the KYC levels guide for what each level is for.
