Quick answer
No. A Stake account is personal and linked to one verified identity, and the terms prohibit selling or transferring it (check the current Stake terms for the exact wording). You stay responsible for everything done under your name. If you want to leave, withdraw your balance and close the account. If someone else wants to play, they should open their own.

Why Accounts Cannot Be Handed Over

  • Identity and KYC. The account is verified with your documents. Another person cannot take that over.
  • Anti-money-laundering rules. Operators have to know who owns and uses each account.
  • Age and responsible-gambling checks. They only work if the account holder is the person who was checked.
  • The terms. Account transfers, shared accounts and accounts used under someone else's identity are generally prohibited.

The Risks If You Sell Your Account Anyway

  • You remain liable. Anything done with the account is linked to your name and documents.
  • Closure and frozen funds. Breaking the terms can lead to the account being closed and the balance held.
  • Misuse of your identity. A buyer who has your login can use it for fraud or to move money you know nothing about.
  • Scams against sellers too. Fake payment screenshots, overpayment tricks and requests for your documents all appear on the seller side.

What About a Family Member or Friend?

The rule is the same: one person, one account. Letting someone else play on your account, or playing on theirs, is treated as account sharing. Multiple accounts from the same home or network can also trigger extra review, so each person should have their own verified account and use it only themselves.

What You Can Do Instead

  • Cash out. Withdraw your balance to your own wallet. See the withdrawal guide.
  • Close the account. Contact Stake support from the email registered on the account and ask for closure.
  • Take a break. If you want distance from gambling, use the tools in our responsible-play guide.
  • Recommend, do not transfer. If a friend is interested, they can open their own account. They can follow our account creation guide.
Lost access to your own account?
Do not look for a buyer or a "recovery agent". Contact Stake support from the registered email and be ready to prove your identity with the same documents you verified with. Never pay anyone who says they can recover it for you.

FAQ

Can I give my Stake account to a family member or friend?

No. Accounts are personal and tied to one verified identity. The other person should open and verify their own account.

Can I change the name or email on my account to someone else's?

Contact Stake support for what they allow. Contact details can sometimes be updated, but the identity the account is verified with is not something you can hand to another person.

Can I sell my VIP status or rakeback level?

No. VIP status belongs to the account, and the account cannot be transferred.

Is it legal to sell a Stake account?

That depends on your country and we cannot give legal advice. It goes against the operator's terms, and a buyer using an account under your identity can create serious problems for you.

What if I just want to stop playing?

Withdraw your balance to your own wallet and ask support to close the account, or use the responsible-play tools. See below.
